Call for applications: Two postdoctoral positions available

23.01.2017

The division of Archaea Biology and Ecogenomics offers two postdoctoral positions in computational biology funded by two recently awarded highly competitive grants that involve extensive comparative genomic, metagenomic, and/or phylogenetic analyses in close context to experimental explorations.

Position 1 is offered in the project “Pan-metabolic profiling of Archaea: The ecology of genomics” of the recently founded Genome Evolution and Ecology Group (GEEG)” funded by a WWTF Vienna Research Groups for Young Investigators grant, awarded to Dr. Filipa Sousa.

Position 2 is open in the project TACKLE: the Ecology and Evolution of Archaea to Elucidate the Prokaryote to Eukaryote Transition funded by an ERC Advanced grant to Christa Schleper. It will involve the analyses of large metagenomic and genomic datasets to reconstruct and analyze genomes and transcriptomes of novel archaeal lineages.

Thanks for your applications. The call is closed´.
